This is the last Saturday for the Big Sur group before the big race! Big Sur group will meet at Tempe Beach Park, Tempe, AZ 85281@ 5:00 AM for a 8.7 mile run. If registered for Pat’s Run they will join the other 30,000 runners for that event afterward.

The Slowrunners and walkers will avoid the traffic and crowds and will meet @ 6:00 AM at the Nosh for the usual.

We have a fun Saturday in store! The Big Sur group will meet in the McDonald’s parking lot, Chandler Blvd & Desert Foothills Parkway at 4:00 AM for the first of two hill loops. Here’s the schedule so y’all can join the Big Sur group at anytime and ease their pain!

4:00 AM – Hill loop #1
5:00 AM – Hill loop #2
6:00 AM – 7 – 10 mile going east (The marathon group will be doing 10 but this can be shortened easily)

As the training for the Big Sur Marathon continues we will once again have two start times and locations.

Meet at Desert Breeze Park for a 6:15 AM run. Access the park from Rural Road and Desert Street. (see image) You can also access the park from Chandler Blvd, going north on Galaxy/Desert Breeze Blvd West.

Big Sur group
Meet at 5:30 AM in the parking lot on Camelback, just East of Hayden Rd for a 12 mile loop. This is one loop, no circle back half way so plan your water accordingly.

April 8 North Scottsdale 12 miles
April 15 San Juan or Ahwatukee Hill Fun Run 20 miles
April 22 Tempe Town Lake 12 miles

We’ll be running 2 loops at Granada Park on Saturday. The first group will meet at 5:00 AM for the Dreamy Draw 8 miler. Second group will meet at 6:30 for up to 8 miles on the canal and Central Ave.

Saturday the 25th

Slowrunners and walkers will be meeting at the The Nosh at 6:15 for the Equestrian loop.
Joan and anyone interested in running Arcadia will meet in the parking lot of the Arcadia Plaza Shopping Center (northwest corner of Indian School Rd. and 48th St) @ 6:30 AM for a 12 mile run.

Sunday the 26th

Marian and Kenny will be running on Sunday the 26th, starting at Vista Canyon Park at 5:30 for 12 miles.
