Take McDowell or Van Buren to Galvin Parkway (a.k.a. Priest in Tempe or 64th Street in Scottsdale). Enter Papago Park / Phoenix Zoo from the only traffic signal on Galvin Parkway between McDowell and Van Buren (closer to Van Buren) and go to the Phoenix Zoo parking lot at the end. Turn left in the zoo parking lot. The drive curves right. Continue to the end, group will be on your right in parking lot.
2010 Half Marathon kickoff
This is a lovely 11.4 mile jaunt through Tempe & Scottsdale featuring greenbelts, parks, canals and the ASU campus.
